Devices 442 Four Channel Mixer
Very
quiet professional performance for field production, plus a versatile package
of features that lets me configure it for numerous situations. This mixer can
handle all kinds of audio level inputs and can output to three cameras at once.

Wireless Systems |
Great location audio relies heavily
on the wireless systems that are used. With that in mind I purchased the best wireless systems I could. My total wireless system package consists
of:
- 2 Lectrosonics 411 Digital Hybrid, Diversity, frequency agile systems
- 2
new SM super small, lightweight bodypack transmitters (See below)
- 2 Lectrosonics
401 Digital Hybrid, diversity, frequency agile systems with bodypack transmitters.

These systems
can be used as a four wireless system or as a two-person wireless system with
a two channel wireless camera hop send. For the camera hop I have a Anton Bauer
adapter plate with a double receiver holder and a DC Y power cable for powering
the receivers from the camera.

Devices 744T Hard Drive 4-ch Recorder |
In
those harsh adventurous environments I want to make sure that the audio is recorded
cleanly. Besides sending audio to camera, I can also record isolated 4 tracks
of audio from my mixer to a Sound Devices 744T HD recorder and back-up the files
to portable hard drive.. With 80 track hours of storage on its hard drive, the
744T can record days worth of audio tracks as well as giving the editor the ability
to have isolated 4 tracks of audio instead of mixed to 2 channels feed to camera.

CS1 Boom - Ready for Wind |
I primarily use the Sennheiser 416 for my documentary work. I keep the CS1 as a second boom mic.
I have both a softie and a full Rycote suspension, Zeppelin and Windjammer system to
be able to not stop production for wind noise.

| Multi-Camera
Shoots |
The 442 mixer allows two channels of audio
to be sent to three cameras simultaneously. The three camera sends are achieved by utilizing the ENG
breakaway cable, XLR outputs on the mixer, plus the wireless camera hops.

Ma, No Batteries! |
My whole system is powered for
DAYS (not hours) off one Li-ion NP1. The BDS (Battery Distribution System) sends
power to the mixer, wireless receivers, and camera hop wireless transmitters.
I'll always have two spare NP1's with me and the system includes a double bank
charger.
